LSO ORBITAL SHIPYARD

BUILD THEM WHERE THEY BELONG. Assembly infrastructure for spacecraft too large to launch intact.

LONG-TERM PROGRAMStage — Concept definition
01Overview

Extremely large spacecraft may eventually become impractical to construct and launch from Earth's surface.

LSO Orbital therefore explores an alternative architecture: manufacture components on Earth, transport components to orbit, assemble spacecraft directly in space.

The concept covers manufacturing modules, docking arms, cargo terminals, assembly docks, service bays, storage, power systems, crew areas and dedicated construction spacecraft.

Realism notice

Vision is not the same as reality. This entry is presented at status LONG-TERM PROGRAM. No launches, facilities, missions or test results are claimed.
